will this intercooler work on my car, 1983 280zxt, i don't know my mm to inches but i do know that it is recommended to use 60mm piping,,the inlet and outlet is 63mm,,shouldn't really matter should it?, just put a reducer right? well heres the sight,

First off XSPOWER is a dodgy brand, to claim it's good for 1000HP yet it doesn't even mention what it's pressure tested to is a bit suspect.
As for the piping size using reducers are fine, my intercooler has 3" endtank outlets and I'm using 3"/2.25" reducers.

My question is, how hard would it be to screw up an intercooler? It being a copy of a good intercooler couldnt hurt.

On the contrary it's quite the opposite, low quality coolers can leak boost, not cool efficienty among other problems. Ask around about the XSPOWER turbochargers out there which are "copies" of good turbos and they're extremely sh!t.

That's better and provides alot more detailed information about it which is what you want, although 35-40PSI isn't alot but will do for most applications. The majority of high quality coolers are built to hold 60-80PSI+, but that one is definately better than any XSPOWER junk.

thanx,,when i get my car presantable i'll post some pics,,need to get it running perfect than get new body,,,my expectations ain't much,,all i want is 350 to 400 hp,,clean body,, smooth driving....a good touring car,,like its suppose to be

I personally haven't used any of the XSpower intercoolers. I've talked to several people who have and I've seen them in person. XSpower may have actually done something right. There turbos are junk, but it seems thier intercoolers aren't all that bad. I'd rather own a spearco any day of the week, but for the guy without huge power goals and a small budget, it could be a very good way to go. That said, I've never had a chance to pressure test one...so maybe someone else can comment that has?
