Magnum P.I.

General Chat

Q:

Watching now, he says "Private Eye Rule 168: When being chased by another car, it helps if you have a fast car"
As the Cutlass bore down on his 308, "Annex to Rule 168: No matter how fast your car is, eventually there is another one that's faster!"
Hmmm, a man after my own heart!

when Jason Vorhees is bearing down on you with a chainsaw and a axe at the same time, no matter how fast and how long your run, at a WALKING pace, he's gonna catch ya! LOL!

No Higgins was not Robin, you never knew who Robin was, ya never saw him. Sorta like "Charlie" from Charlie's Angels.

You did see Robin but not a face shot but it was said that Magnum felt that when Robin did show his face around the estate that he was a paid actor by Higgins.
Magnum always thought that Higgins was Robin, but it was never devulged in the series.

Since when is a mid 80s Cutlass faster than anything ????
A 308 isn't exactly on par with an Enzo or Testarosa, but can still show it's pretty tail lights to most domestic iron of the era.
A:

You could rent those 308-s on Oahu for abt $300/day then, as well as other exotics.

trivia ..
co-worker's (husband's) 308 was "hired" for the Magnum PI movie .. being made ..
His 308 is 99% original .... having won numerous Concours awards ..
The 1% ... missing a part from the tool kit .. and another component that my co-worker (the wife) mis-placed and I helped find a replacement part.

That's why we should all carry a hefty amount of dynamite with us at all times. For those pesky car chases that never seem to end, just chuck a stick of dynamite at the persuer and it should make short work of the chase.
1972 240z w/L28, tokico shocks and springs, and a 5 speed waiting. Also running high performance ultra mega blinker fluid, that's at least an extra 50hp to the wheels.
1987 Toyota Supra Turbo 5-speed. Belongs to me until my friend get's back from Iraq.
A:

Comrad, if you were James Bond, you wouldn't have to throw dynamite out the top, you would just flip a switch on your Aston Martin and down goes the rear license plate and out come the twin machine guns to mow down your persures.

Be careful with them-there 308's.
They burn up quick.
