The server will give you over 200 KB per sec so it won't take more than 15 min. But I didn't think it was worth. Self congratulatory documentory with the main point of interest being HP numbers.
They couldn't even complete a quarter mile time at a track. And then he loses to some boosted Hayabusa at the end of the video for a thousand bucks - and they just talk about it with no actual video footage.
Have to love those Southern tuner guys. See if you can add up the following times these all said? Damn, dude, whoooo, car-guy.

I downloaded at 450kbs off the site. Anyone who can say that isnt just badass is nuts. IMV films is almost if not the best street racing and racing film crew there is. All of there work is top notch and high quality. Its a documentary about a guy and his Ford GTs build how is it not going to be self centered? Also when you have Nero saying how bad ass a car is it says something then again what does he know about cars I mean Titan Motorsports isnt a big name. Great video in my opinion and badass car. Theyre up to 924whp on 93 octane now and all of that with all the creature comforts the car came with on a stock fuel system and stock motor. Oh and cost on all of that is right at $30k for anyone interested.

I've seen this video a couple days ago from my brother, it is pretty wild. I liked it. So, he lost to a 'busa. What does he think he going to beat...everything? What about that quad turbo Veyron or maybe a twin turbo Viper (has any one done that). I should look that up and see what kind of numbers that puts down. : ) Just my thoughts.

Sarcasm serves you well cville - it takes away from actuall facts in anything.
I don't think most of us know who any of those people are. We only watch the video and respond. Instead of hearing how fast and amazing the car is from these guys I prefer actuall facts and times. I am sure it is in the top 10 cars on the road by manufacturer and it is a nice car to start with but...
I would rather see the video of the race he lost versus him talking about it.
I would rather see a nice quarter mile than a almost in the wall failure.
I would rather someone told me about some of the processes in tuning a car such as that vs two sentence descriptions of cool gadgets used.
The video had a bunch of guys saying how cool the car is and a bunch of illegal highway pulls, which have no reference for how quick they are.
Lots of flash and no real substance.
That doesn't take away from the car - just the video.

I believe the Ford GT is one of the top two best sports cars from America. The other one being the Corvette Z06. I think though both do great technology and performance for the money.
Not taking into account the GT's reliability.
1993 300zx NA
A:

Z06 > Gt - the only thing that might be better is the new gt500 and thats only cuz the sticker is 46xxx and you get the gt motor quad cam charger and all though everyone has it marked at least at 75xxx so the zo6 still owns and i would still buy a datsun/nissan Z if i had the money and maybe if i had a junk load of money i would buy a Zo6 and a gt and crash them head on at full speed and laugh though the z06 would probbaly fall apart once it started to get to speed due to poor build quality and the gt would probably just not start so we would end up with 4 wheels and an LS motor going about 3 mph when it reaches the gt and totalling both cars
or maybe im just a littel jelouse cuz i drive slow cars that are falling apart : \

What an idiot (at least in my opinion), paying out that money for a GT and lettting them "develop" their TT kit on his car?
Maybe they are giving him the parts for free in exchange for the use of his car...

Thats definatly 1 badazz car, too bad they guy is gonna wreck it eventually and have to be scraped up off the pavement someday.
So all the people laugh and say how cool it was to see it almost get totalled at the track. What a bunch of morons incuding the owner.
So im curious who the amateur moron was that was driving the car at the track that lost it. Pretty funny the guys that build it cant even drive it.
I wonder why the cut the video short of the supra (or whatever that small car was) staying with him?

Nice car though, but he will get beat on the street.

Darius's twin turbo viper has 1200+ HP for comparison, so the guy with this GT-40 still has some work to do to be matched with Darius's car and other fast street cars as well (especially driver experience). Im also thinking Darius's almost finished supercharged 1000+ HP 240z that weighs only 2200 lbs.
Yea im partial to Darius's cars and bikes cause he's a neighbor.....
THE NAME OF THE GAME IS TRACTION!

Well his car has at LEAST 1200hp. 1012whp and 900wtq if I remember correctly. What suprised me is they said STOCK engine AND fuel system. There is no way it's the stock fuel system, but even the stock motor alone is impressive. Not sure if you guys payed this much attention, but they didn't even have slicks on that car because they couldn't find them to fit the stock wheels. That is extremely idiotic IMO, so go get some damn race wheels and put RACE tires on it. I don't care if the brake calipers don't clear, get RID of them and get replacements.
I don't care WHAT car you have, comparing it to heavily modified sportbikes is a waste of time in the end.
Why? Power to weight ratio. A 500hp Hayabusa is equal to a 3000hp MK4 Supra. Yeah bike's aero's suck because it's a different machine all together, but they don't suck that much.
There are a lot of busa's running around with 500-600hp compared to the number of street cars pushing 3,000hp+.
Highend is where bikes suffer, yet that is what everyone is concerned about, "top speed".
Lastly, Darius's 1000hp 2000lbs 240 is about on par as a stock literbike of today. I'd take the z in a heartbeat though.

I agree on the tires thing. saying Nitto only had 19" tires that would marginally handle their HP was interesting. Its an accident waiting to happen as evident of the 1/4 mile video. If those builders cant find a rim/tire combo better than what they have they havnt got a clue about performance. all they want to do is make as much HP as possible for bragging rights with someone elses money to do their experimenting with.
i guess they dont realize there are quite a number of 950+ rwhp street cars out there already. they make it sound like they have the only one that will have 1300 engine hp.
loved the video though.

Well, they are the only ones with a 1300hp street-driven GT. That's definitely worth a cookie.
I think the point is that they're the only ones with the balls to take the blower off and installing TT's on a $100,000+ car. I commend them big time, just for that. Innovation is great, and that's what makes badass stuff, like Darius' Viper.
However, I must disagree on the "quite a number of 950+rwhp street cars out there" statement. I would think that, in the US, there are maybe 100 that are actually non-dyno queens that are driven on a regular basis (every weekend), and would put money on that there are <500 street legal 950+hp cars in the States. If 100 are actually driven, that's 2 per state. If there are 500 in existance, that's 10 per state. Not exactly "quite a number."
But yes, the 500+rwhp car is almost a commonality these days. Yet I can't break 200rwhp. DAMN IT!
