Na, already mine.
I wish I knew the property owner better. There are a lot of goodies laying around that I can't stick my nose into. I can even see a straight 720 std cab 4X4 back there... I wonder if that needs to go as well...
Yes vice grip pliers come free of charge. I found a chevy steering wheel somewhere... I am going to put a Z seat in it and pop the donor steering wheel on and hopefully drag it down the street to my house. It will be fun!! lol

I like El Caminos, I really have no idea why, except that my father and an Uncle both had 1970 SS 454 models when I was a little kid, my uncles was in very nice shape, my dads was pretty rough, he used to use it to go to the dump, and little else. I think he sold it for something super cheap like $500 in the early 80's
I went to see Star Wars for the first time in the back of my uncle's elky at a drive-in movie, back end was packed with neighborhood kids because it was like $2 per car load... good times.

2 seater station wagon or a lowered pick up truck?
Call it a Tar or a Cruck
Looks great for hauling Z parts though

Oh Peanut long time no see!(or maybe I haven't noticed)
I saw your name and remembered "squirrel fishing"... Maybe I can go full redneck with my new redneck toy and fish some squirrels? Catch and release only seems sportsman like!LOL
That was up on the top 10 best threads ever here in my book!

Pot on wheels by law enforcement standars..dont even dream of speeding on that, is a cop's magnet, sorry, I like them too
Have you shared the left lane today?
A:
LOL!! Yes, I remember that! I actually let Peanut go back out to the wild this past spring. I do kinda miss him, but I suppose he's happier now.

Haven't seen an El Camino or any other fullsized car of that vintage with promise go for $50 for a looong while.
At that time, you could buy a 69 VW Bug "engine bad" for $25!
Is that the Corvair Yard?
Lucky Bastard. Let me know if you run across a relatively complete 1968 Cadillac Coupe Deville. I know, big boat, but I've had this itch....
A 1965 Buick Electra 225 would probably do the trick as well.
Convertible would be a plus, but is not required!

Not the same yard. It's a mile or so away. Gonna have to try and keep it uner the radar... hehehe
I have some wheels that should fit and a steering wheel. We already tested the brakes to be sure. I'm going to go down and get the moving permit pretty soon here.

You could get more than $50 in scrap for that thing.
A:
dude did I mention it has a crate BFG 350... and some used TH350 in it! Not to mention the other TH350 sitting in the bed. The engine has a Holly carb of unknown CFM and a Weiand intake. You still going to pay me that $50 to take off I think NOT!
The plan is to get it assess the damage further and figure out whether it is reusable or to just cut it up. In parts alone I could easily make my money back. $50 10bolt. driver fender isn't to shabby either. Doors, light, etc... So not a problem. There is a LARGE demand for Elky parts around here. I am considering keeping it and fixing it. I would really rather have a 71 Malibu for sure...

So many old wagons and El Camino's were scrounged for other car parts that those are rare and collectable now.
Good find.

I've been hounden the owner for a week now about finalizing the deal. I guess he blew his truck engine up and wants to keep the engine so I'm going to pass on the whole deal. Kind of a bummer. The bright side is that he is selling a 720 PU that needs a motor... He has a lot of PUs like more than 10. So for about 300 I will pick up a 720 PU with a spun bearing. VG30 maybe we'll see if this one follows through...
