I've tried but never sold a car on eBay. Encountered so many flakes after just one try that I will never do it again. Sold one through Autotrader (only place we advertised) with no probs I remember. Sold lots of parts on eBay, but no more cars for me.

You are better off with Autotrader or Craigslist. Most people who look through those ads have a specific car they are looking, on ebay it's just crackheads looking for a cheap car and will flake if the car is more then they actually expected to buy.
Progress:
Z32 Had to sell for DD 06 Sentra :(
S30 one of these days I will get around to putting it all back together.

OK thanks. Ive tried craigslist, with a few interested, but they tropped off for various reasons. I will try Autotrader.

What kind of car are you selling? If it's an older Z I'd recommend Autotrader, specifically their Classic & Sports car magazine. I've sold two Z's ('83 and '84) using that mag. Fairly inexpensive and can run untill sold if you choose that option.

It's an 83

Sold my old 323 Turbo on Craigslist in just three weeks.
Ebay charges you $40 to list and then another $40 once the first bid is placed WHETHER or not the high bidder follows through with the purchase or not.

Well...
I have sold a couple cars, a motrcycle, and a Quad on Ebay, as Well as bought my current N/A 300ZX. I gotta say, I have had great luck. There is a trick to it though. If you have a car that is desirable, set the reserve low, with a buy it now price. Most people get on looking to steal something, theinking they are the ones who are gonna get the vehicle for 2 grand under market. Once the bidding starts, people get a little nuts. It's kinda like they get posessive of something they don't even own, and usually exceed the buy it now price. That has been my experience anyway.
