To all of those that said it couldn't be done, without massive ammounts of work! I've done it! So I made a trip to Corvallis on Saturday to buy a 3.70 LSD R160. I picked it up for $180 (which is a steal, they normally go for $300-$400 on ebay), and spent about $40 bucks for the trip. So today I ripped the 3.70 LSD, and the 4.11 open diffs apart. With a little elbow grease, and about 7 hours time, I now have what appears to be a working 4.11 limited slip differential for my 510. The backlash is set, and it's ready to go into the car. I'm real excited about it! I proved a lot of peoples notes wrong along the way, and had some make up some of my own crap to make it work... If anyones interested I can do a write up some time? That's all for now!
Here is the old open diff carrier on the floor, I'll put it back in the old 3.7 case soon.
Here is the LSD carrier installed in the 4.11 case with gears!
There was a lot of what people said was totally wrong, and some stuff I had to figure out on my own. All in all it was actually pretty simple!

Backlash means pretty much nothing. You needed to have the distance from the ring gear to the center of the pinion consistant from the open carrier to the LSD. If not, you will have the teeth of the ring gear not line up correctly to their existin wear patturn of the previous carrier and you WILL wear it out or break it. So basicly, if you took precise measurements from the backside of hte carrier to a good flat spot of tho housing, and duplicated that measurement you would of been good to go. Your backlash measurement is not important in this case. Also, all cases are not exactly the same width, and one should NEVER assume the carriers are going to be the same width, as different bearings, different wear, etc. So basicly you need to check all of that, AND when your finished check the wipe patturn to make sure its full contact and not rolling off the edge.
But congrats on your LSD 4.11. McAdam and I installed a 3.9LSD in his zx this year, with the carrier out of a 3.7.
