Please don't guys.
We just had one of my wife's friends die two weeks ago.
Not only was he drunk, but was not wearing a seatbelt.
He would have walked away from the accident if had been wearing one.
R.I.P.
*And please no "he deserved it posts", he was an idiot that made a mistake and paid the ultimate price.
Did he deserve to die? Absolutely Not.

Iceman your last comment touched me, I feel the same way. We all make mistakes in life, some worse then others. Many of many of us could put ourselves in that pictures situation if we just got a little bit unlucky doing a stupid thing. Whether it be speeding, racing, not paying attention, drinking too much and driving, many things. Im by no means perfect and I could of been your wifes friend, or the car in that picture, many of many of times, for all the reasons I listed and then some. I hope people take heart to that picture and keep it in the back of their mind, as I do, that there easily could be that day where you become victim to your own misjudgement.
A:
yes please dont drive impaired. i was almost killed by a drunk driver in 1977 and lost a beautiful 70 dodge challenger r/t. fortunetly no one died but iv seen a number of drunk driver accidents with deaths and some were little kids. its a very serious problem.

Drunk and no seatbelt? DUH! Sorry but I can't believe people are still stupid enough to do that. That's NOT a "mistake" any more than playing with dynamite till it it blows up is some kind of "mistake".

I'm tired of folks pussy-footing around the issues. It was stupid behavior when it did not kill himself before this time and it's just as stupid when he finally did. People playing Russian Roulette get killed. DUH! No symapthy is due.
A:
I agree, if people are stupid enough to get in a car drunk (and im sure they know they are drunk) AND also not put on their seatbelt, then they set their own destiny right then and there.
I have no remorse for peoples own stupidity even though how sad it can be for what happenned. ive done some pretty stupid driving things in my life (none of them drunk driving), and if i had died then so be it, people can call me stupid as well.
A:
Iceman, I am truly sorry for your loss. I've seen two of my friends come within an inch of losing their lives in drunk driving accidents in the last five years, and count myself lucky beyond any luck I deserve that I got the chance to tell both of them what idiots they were for doing what they did, and how much pain it caused everyone who cared about them to pick up the phone and hear that a dear friend was in the hospital in a coma. I, for my part, have a great deal of remorse for people's own stupidity, and I hope, as much anger as I feel as well, that I will never trade in that remorse for indifference.
I honestly don't know what part of "he was an idiot that made a mistake and paid the ultimate price" could be construed by any reasonable person to be "pussy-footing." Hybrid, is it your intention to imply that Iceman's friend did what he did on purpose, or have you decided that the word 'mistake' no longer pertains to an error in judgement caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, or insufficient knowledge? No one, least of all Iceman himself, has claimed that such behavior is not stupid. Whether you feel that sympathy is due or not is entirely on you, but I can only conclude that your logic is flawed at best.
A:
LOL, IcemanD420 did not have a "loss".
Why IcemanD420 feels some kind of loss for someone that was not even his friend is a little much.
Let it go man...
Damn right the guy did it on purpose!
It was NOT an accident.
He purposefully drove a car drunk, no one forced him.
How anyone could have "insufficient knowledge" or "carelessness" is the pussy-footing.
YES, people that intentionally drive drunk and kill themselves deserve to die since they chose to do so.
Damn glad he's off the road.

No, just an angry father that want these ashwholes off the road so they don't kill my kids or my wife or me.
No excuse AT ALL for jerks like that that risk others as well as themselves.
A:
someday it might be your kids being stupid driving drunk.

"someday it might be your kids being stupid driving drunk."
And I would say the exact same thing. What's your point?
A:
Big talk, cowboy. Your kid dies, you're not going to go on these stupid forums and say how he deserved it.
