Question about Redone 240's

General Chat

Q:

Does anyone know of one of those redone 240's (commissioned by the factory) that may be for sale? A friend of mine is looking for one.
Thanks,
Mike

There is one on E-Bay right now, at least the body was one comissioned for the program. Guy bought it form the restorer after the program shut down. Ended up putting an RB25 into it, and did a nice build. I think it's up for sale for a Buy-it-Now for around $32K.
Which is about where the Restoration Cars are going for these days...

They show up from time to time on the classifieds here, on the classicZcar website classifieds, and on eBay. You just have to keep looking.

Thanks TonyD and Steve. He is interested in the straight 6, just as they came cars, so I'll keep looking around. What have these cars been going for lately? Is 32k about where they are selling?
Thanks,
Mike

Just curious why he would want one of these cars specifically. For $32,000, he could buy 3-4 stunningly excellent, near stock (if that's what he wants) ones — just not done by PierreZ.

JR, Well, I think he is mainly interested in a nearly new car, with little wrench turning, etc. He may be interested in getting a well done resto, he hasn't really said.
