It is in great shape, adn was exactly the price range my parents were looking at.
It has a few mechanical problems, but otherwise, it is in great shape.
-The blinkers were all broken, but my dad fixed it by replacing the 'flasher'
box.
-The driver side seat belt woudl not move, but apparently nissan is willing to fix it for free
-the e-brake does not release, so we have to bring it to our mechanic to fix that
Otherwise, it is damn nice. The interior is almost flawless, except the rear trunk bed has a weird hommade carpet instead of the nissan one.
Overall, a great buy for 2900.

No, unfortunately none of us work on cars very well. My father and I are both computer people, and my brother is a HS student.
We did the disk brake pads and rotors recently on another car, and did OK, but still, opening up the rear hub kind of scares us.

Grab a Haynes manual and start reading! Z31's are a bit expensive to pay someone else to work on so the more you can do yourself the better... Dont worry about being a computer guy, so am I and I've only been working on cars a year or so yet I manage! :)
