Hey guys, I gotta weird problem that maybe some of you have experienced.
This is on a 1995 Nissan Quest minivan.
My brother went out to his van and unlokced it with the key (no keyless entry) on the drivers side. To unlock the rest of the doors, you then push a button the driver's side switch bezel. He pushed it and the all the doors unlocked and then immediately locked again. He tried many times and it just kept unlocking->locking. He then checked the fuses but there doesn't seem to be a fuse for the 'door locks' specifically, at least not in the kick panel. There is a 'windows' fuse, but he said he couldn't find a locks fuse.
Has anyone had this happen to them? What could it be? What should he try?
Thanks in advance for your help. He has 2 toddlers and he's pretty stressed and exhausted with this problem.

Sounds to me like when he unlocks them the switch is kicking back into the lock position (sp?). Or even more likely is that one of the other lock switches is stuck in the lock position. So when he unlocks it the other switch automatically locks it again?

I do not see how it could be a fuse. The lock mechanism is working. Forget the fuse and find the short or miswire in the switch.

It's in a switch. Disconnect 1 x 1 until it goes away then individually plug back in.

...annoying I'm sure. My '88 Sub does that but for other reasons I'm sure.
(maybe the alarm that was added) Anyway, I get in, turn the ignit key and doors lock....esp annoying when you want to start it but not stay in it...
so, now I turn the ignit.key with the door "open" and it won't do that...
You might want to experiment, doors closed or doors open in combination with turning ignit. cylinder and see if any option leaves them unlocked.
