If someone blocked me in with a truck and pulled a baseball bat after following me for that long - I would have shot first then called the police. Not fatally but I would have shot the one with the bat in the leg. Unfortunately someone coming at you with a bat does not warrant lethal force.
It did seem like pretty bad acting.
The easier thing to do would be to just drive to a police station or call the police and have them come and pull the two over. I have done that when someone with roadrage decided to follow me home.

Here in the US you have to show reason to use deadly force. A baseball bat and a screwdriver can definately be deadly but that does not mean anything since you have a gun.
And I hope that if you do carry a concealed weapon or a 3rule weapon in your car that you are qualified to use it. That means you can hit 10 in a 3inch circle at 5 yards.
PS Dead men can not sure but families can and courts can still incarcerate you.

actually here in florida they passed the "stand your ground" law. if anybody threatens you, you can fight back and if it comes down to it shoot to kill if you feel that threatened. haven't heard of anyone using it yet but idiots like that have to think twice now before they go after someone with a bat down here.

I think he did the right thing if it's real. The guys followed for god knows how long and then pulled out a bat and started coming after the bmw guy. The bmw guy pulled his gun to defend himself and took their camera and keys. If the guys were to call the cops on the bmw guy all he would have to do is show the cops the tape. Self defense. Free camera.

not a free camera- stolen camera. in the courts eyes the guy took the camera at gunpoint- thats makes it theft with a deadly weapon. just because someone breaks the law against you doesnt mean you can steal stuff at gun point. take the tape but not the camera. however i personally think the whole thing was fake with bad acting. come on two rednecks out looking for a bmw to harass.

he could have shot and not gotten in trouble..those guys had intent to harm...they admited guilt on tape...they said if this guy pulls over hes a dead man....and something else...but they implicated themselves on tape...they said they would cause harm...them persued the "victam" with a bat..he could have shot to kill and still gotten off...just my opinion....and i do agree that he stole the camera...he could have taken the keys at gun point...and then as he drove off...he should have shot out thier tires...and dropped the keys..no harm done there...
