The picture quality is very poor, but it looks like there is/was a large dent in the passenger door. The decklid to RH quarter gaps are off. The hood to RH fender also don't appear to line up well in the front. I'd look closely for crash repairs as the whole right side could have been hit and straightened.

Looks good for $1000. It has either been hit hard, or has a zillion miles on it (or both). I'd guess hit hard and 200k+ miles. If it runs and drives straight, it's worth buying though.

body work does look off...
looks like an '89 or '90. Those are fun. Could cost more than $1,000 in the next year to keep it on the road.

Eh, E30's are great cars, and IMO one of the few BMW's that DOESN'T require a lot of maintenance.
We had an 89 325ix 5 speed that we drove for 7 years from 90k miles to 196k. The car still ran as good when we sold it as it did when we bought it. Never had any problems out of the ordinary, and never broke down.
Over those 7 years, we spent just over $6000 in maintenance including LOF, tires, brakes, tune ups, and any other repairs.
They're rock solid cars if they've been taken care of, ours always had mobil 1 and premium gas, and it ran like a champ!
Under Construction. CP, Carillo, ARP, Toga... coming soon.
