Q:
Did you hear anything back from them? Are you working in "secret" on a car? What's up? I gave up trying to read the last post a while ago.

Yea actually I did hear back, last week from them. They said they only wanted shops to race from now on, because they feel that there more professional about things, and what not, so thats why he contacted me. He also said that they have had about 2500 people try and sign up for the show, but since most of them were not shops, they wont even talk to them, for their affraid of their level of commitment. Therefore, he wanted me to build a car, and show up 1500 miles away in two weeks. I told him I wont build a car in 1.5 weeks, and show up. He then told me that next spring for season 5 he will get me in a spot I was told. He went on to say how this show is worth about a 100k dollars in advertising to shops, and its a great investment, blah, blah, blah. I told him that I have customers projects that needed to get done, and what not, and to leave and drop everything im doing and build a car in 1.5 weeks, was not the smartest decision I should make. He said he checked out my website, and the work I do and he was intrigued by the level of work we do, and how its different, not just your plain jane small block crap. He liked how Our shop builds L series fully custom one off stuff, and in his words "looks like you guys have a better way of building a z car than the last guys who showed up for our show un-prepared". Exatly how he said it. So in short, yes he wanted us there, but I told him I had customers projects to stay loyal too right now, and were trying to build a bonnivile car, etc, that it wasnt something I wanted to do at this time. I told him I have other z cars I could bring that would run low 12's, NA, but I didnt want to finalize the car in a week, and make it track only worthy.
Lots of Z cars, 1970's-1983's.

So does that mean your going to shoot for a run in the spring then or just drop the idea for now?

i would do what everyone else does, just show up with car and say you built it...technically you did build it, just not when they wanted you to..
