ZCAR.com has officially signed on with Nissan Sport’s invitation-only partner website program. Full membership benefits will be released over the coming months.
As many of you know, the owners of Nissan Sport were employees of the now defunct Sport Z Magazine. Z owners are asking what’s the difference between the two mags. Would you believe even more Z coverage than Sport Z Magazine? How is that possible, since we now cover the full range of Nissans, Datsuns, and Infinitis? Well, we not only increased page count 10 pages over Sport Z, but we've cleaned up the design and gone with a smaller but still easy-to-read font. The end result: 20+ extra pages of content.
So, what can you look for in every issue of Nissan Sport?
-EXPANDED feature coverage with four full features.
-EXPANDED motorsports coverage to three pages, including the Inside Line (now an op-ed column), racing Q&A, racing tips, and the Drift Corner.
-NEW! Five to seven one-page “featurettes,” complete with photos and mod list, allow us to cover far more cars
-NEW! Redline takes the place of “The Mole” and “Nissan Buzz” and is packed with even more news, rumors, and off-the-wall tidbits.
-NEW! Separate project car section for our projects: 240Z, 350Z, G35, Spec V, and Pathfinder
-NEW! “The Scene,” an entire section devoted to events and club happenings. Includes an event calendar, coverage of all major events, club action, and partner websites.
-NEW! A full classifieds section, including parts and cars of all generations and prepared race cars.
-NEW! History coverage, including parting photographs, details on former Nissan/Datsun/Infiniti models, and historical pieces concerning the past of Datsun and Nissan.
-NEW! Complete DIY Tech section packed with tips, tricks, tests, how-tos, and Q&As (3X the number of questions as Ed’s Garage) from our panel of tech experts--including Nissan/Infiniti master techs.
-NEW! Product spotlights and reviews on the latest (and tried-and-true) aftermarket parts and accessories.
-NEW! An 8-times-a-year newsletter called the INSIDER. We’ve packed it with bonus coverage of the magazine, inside details on articles, behind-the-scenes access, discount specials, and more. Available for only an extra $9.95.
We’ve also added other features: a map for our partner clubs so it’s easier to find a club in your area, an advertising index so you can find product quicker, spotlights on hardcore “fanatic” enthusiasts, recall information, the best websites for Z owners, world beat, auction action (what’s your Z worth?), trivia, humor, and more.

First none of the listed models mean nothing to me. I could care less about a G35, Spec V or Pathfinder's! Second look at how many people with 240 use 280Z, 280ZX and 280ZXT parts in their builds. That is not even counting all of the drivetrain options being used. All I said was this in not for me. Who said it had to be THEIR Project car featured... Many people can supply enough information on their project for a write up... For now I'll keep searching for the information I need...
Now if someone was redoing things like they are doing for the older Chevy's, Ford's and Mopar's cars then I might want to know more about it. Suspensions are being redesigned with Air Ride stuff, new LS7 motors are being installed and many other parts are being made all the time.
If all I wanted to know about new cars I would read Car and Drivers or something like that! I'm not trying to start a flaming war so don't take this wrong! Last mag I have almost every ad was for 350Z stuff, which is just a waste of space to me... Who wants to see mud tires ads in a sports car mag or parts for a four door car now! That's all going to be in there which means they make more in marketing ads, more power to them! But I will not be buying one copy! IMHO

Cyind, I get where you are coming from and I respect that you have made a decision. At least you aren't a fence sitter. You'll never see me trying to sell you a subscription. There are quite a few Z owners out there with the same attitude and we are not out here to try and convert you. You either like it or you don't. I can't please my friends all the time so how could I expect to please all strangers.
There is one thing you should understand so that when you tell people the way it is (like with advertising) that you fully understand why a Z magazine (like SZM and now Nissan Sport) is heavily slanted to new Z advertising. There are a handfull of S30 companies out there supplying the Z community. You'll notice that most of them advertise in the magazine. There is no one else out there making Z parts for 30 year old cars. There is no money in it. So of coarse advertising is going to be heavy 350Z because it's the only Z in production. Would we like to see more older aftermarket companies making Z products, sure, but it's not going to happen.
Yes, we have expanded our coverage to include other cars, but that is what will allow us to continue in the future. In putting this issue together I can tell you that there is more Z coverage now then when it was SZM. Increasing the number of pages from 72 to 84 will do that.
Like I said, I respect your opinion and hope you understand that there is a method to our madness.

RAZ1,
I know it would be nice if there was a Z One like there is a Year one. It would be nice to buy any part you needed for a first gen Z!
I also know it more money for your people with a bigger market place. I have not tried to put down your needs for the change and I still wish you good luck! Maybe if I had someone show me the new format with more first gen information the the old format, I might change my mind. I don't see that happening anytime soon where I live now! There is only two of us that I know of that post on this site now. Most people with Z's here prob don't even think about looking for Z sites. All of the org Z cars rusted away years after they first came out here. Now if I was still in San Antonio with 150 club members I'm sure I could find someone who would let me review a copy!
I still think you should reach out and do a few reviews on some of the best project cars that are out there! That might make some of the guys who have a new 350Z understand what a true sports car is all about! I know some have one of each. Who needs power windows, PS, AC, 6 way heated seats and all the other junk! That for a DD...
Once again Good Luck!
