i bought this car today from the original owner.he's an inland valley club member from temecula.this car is nice no rust run great.it has it's quorks,but over all a nice car.it has 280Z 5sp that he bought new fro the dealer years ago.five way adjustable tokicos and springs.the wheels are i believe monocoque racing wheels.oh and it has 4:11 gears in the back and a lightened fly wheel.this thing excellerates very well.136,000 original miles and the compression is within specs.hopefully i can get the pictures to upload to the site.

yeah i'm pretty happy it was a well taken car of car.it means alot to be the second owner.considering the car is the same age as me,it's kinda cool.i wanted a blue one but i'm happy with the color.it's original color was silver from the factory.some day when the paint goes bad i may repaint it the original color.but the paint is eight years old and looks prisitine.i may be waiting a long time.just got to work out some mechanical things.the car halls azz and handles great.may have to much camber,it was set up for auto cross.it does do well on the free way at high speed.my buddy had it up to 85-90 with no problems today bringing it home.looks good in the garage and even better outside.i was told by my zclub prez that i had to name it.thanks again lenny for sending out the feeler to the local clubs.

zx-ae he told me those were race rims that cost five hundred a piece.don't know for sure i have no receipts for the wheels.i have no reason not to believe him.i've already had people tell me the wheels were expensive. i just don't know how much on paper just his word.thanks for the compliments i pulled up your profile and that 240 with those turbo wheels looks sick!

A Landed 1972 Box Skyline with no drivetrain.....
Complete they come in a container for around $8K if you have a good agent. One with some cosmetic damage, or from a junkyard in pieces could be had for $6K.
I would kill to have a Box Skyline to go with my 71 FairladyZ!

thanks zpoe for remembering yeah i have been looking for a while.i had a yellow bone stock for a couple of months but sold it.i waited and waited and this one popped up.i realy like the color and the wheels.i do miss the 350 but this is much more classy to look at in the garage.not that my 350 wan't nice but a clean classic car is hard to compare with a new one.

That is a great lookin 240. bonus it matches your truck.
Everything looks great. I like the wheels, the interior is very nice too.
and it even gets am. The only thing I would do is get a leather shift boot.
I think you will be much happier with this one than the one up in Mn.

yeah it's pretty nice i really liked the one in mn,but it would have cost an arm and a leg to ship it.for six grand i've got a practicaly rust free car.they are creeping up in the price but worth it.i'm the second owner so atleast i have the main source to go to for questions about the car.it's set up for handling and auto cross.might need some bump steer spacers up front or torsion bars.the car tends to want to get away from you when driving.it's made for the sharp turns.my buddy drove it home and i drove the titan.we had to detour off the freeway so we took the back roads home.fun fun fun we were going through mountain type twisties.he lost me going down he was waiting for me at the bottom.kind of cool to see what your car can do with the right person driving.it needs some tuning and other things but what Z doesn't.for now i'm just going to have fun with it.got to start saving for motorsport in april.it will be here before you know it.got to get the wish list going for christmas.the wife is pretty good about taking care of me on the holidays.take it ez rusty

i believe they're called monocoque wheels.he said he bought them from a place in laholla ca.it's in san diego but i didn't get the name of the place or any receipts for alot he's done to the car.i do have the bill of sale and owners manual.i'll have to do some research for you on that one.i do know he said they were 500.00 each.they're really light racing wheels so tend to believe him,since he did alot of autoxing.

It's La Jolla, mike. A great place to take the kids if you ever make it to San Diego. There's cool tide pools with critters.

Born in Chula Vista, lived in El Cajon until 79 and my family moved us up to Oregon.
Both of my grandparents still live there, so we come down every couple of years.
