Q:
Hi everyone, I just purchased myself a pretty nice 240z and I need ideas for the license plate. I can choose 2 numbers and 3 letters or 3 letters and 2 numbers.
It is a 1973 240z n/a and my initials are SM.
24OZR is available but i think if I was to have this plate it would need to be a pretty modded engine putting out some HP (ie 240z r for race). I am planning on doing some engine mods eventually as I have a nice set of tripple webbers but I can't afford to do this properly at the moment.
The good and easy ones like 24OZD 24OZZ etc are taken.
I was thinking 24TZD anyone else got any ideas?
I will post pics and info on the car once it has settled.

Like Roman numeral 2 then like the number 40 and then it would be like ending with a Z. Wouldn't that be the coolest tag ever?
Do it! It would be major cool.

No? lol Nobody will get that...

Just be sure to use one that makes sense even if the reader doesn't know about Z cars. I hate vanity plates that are some sort of inside joke that makes no sense unless it's explained.

I didn't even notice that until you said, it's not far enough across anyway if you're going for the JDM look. It just looks crooked lol
I remember years ago someone had a new Corvette (forget what model) even before they were released to the public, no doubt a dealership owner or something. He had "sux2bme" as his plate! lol

Why do they limit it to the 3/2 or 2/3 combination, where is this plate being registered. That's an interesting quirk. Here in CA and now back in MI you can use letter number combinations up to seven places, though you can not use "normal" combinations of 3/3, 1/1/5, or 1/3/3 for the normal plate combinations mass produced for everyday plates...

haha these are great, im surpised by the amount of replies :)
like 300zxt mentioned it is actually ment to be 2 numbers then 3 letters or the other way around. I am in australia, i could get the prestige plates that let you pick 6 characters but i blew all my money on the car and cant really afford $2100 for license plates (would rather spend 2gs on engine parts). The plates that are 11xxx or xxx11 are only $395 so i think ill have to stick with these for now.
i really wanted cla55 (ie class) but its gone too :(
This have been giving me some good ideas though, cheers!
keep em coming

24 TYZ is the only alternative, the others were diversions for comic relief...
Oz charges a lot for the plates, any of the ones I mentioned would be $50 US over the cost of normal registration of a Z, which would be no more than $160 in most cases. Some of mine are $44 a year....
Hey, waitaminit, $2100 Ozzy Buks? That's like .69USD! Buy those Classy Plates, you only live once!

I'm in Australia too, our economy rocks vs the U.S! Besides fuel, everything else is mad expensive there and their tax system is a total scam and you dont even know what the tax is on something until you goto pay for it lol! Trust me we have it good here in comparison, the prices I was paying for food when shopping in the U.S was a joke, everything literally costs twice as much or more there! And good luck trying to order a nice rare steak at a restaurant there without dying lol
1.00 AUD = 0.75 USD
