I read it in the paper today....HEY! Didn't Ford just buy Vovo and all that stuff!!? I just don't get it. ...I HAVE been looking for a more heavy-duty twin beam front suspension. NOT! Of course, with NO GREASE FITTINGS. PLEASE, I don't want it to last or anything. Norm K

Ford and nissan have colaberated on projects before thats nothing new.
1996 Mercury Villager minivan (the nautica one) was by no means a ford.
It was a reskinned Nissan quest. Pop the hood on one of those and you don't see ford, or mercury. You see nissan stamped everywhere and a you see a VG30E, same engine as the NA z31's.

try best of one world. Personally Ford doesn't hold any more water than Chevy. They both suck in their own respects.
1972 240z w/L28, tokico shocks and springs, and a 5 speed waiting. Also running high performance ultra mega blinker fluid, that's at least an extra 50hp to the wheels.

You are Not quite correct.The Mercury Villager had a 3.8 liter engine and Nissan Quest had a 4.1 liter Nissan engine.None of them had a VG30e motors.
Later on the Ford Windstar was based on the old Villager/Quest platform,but they changed the body design.

Oh and by the way :IT WAS A DISASTER! CONSTANT PROBLEMS,TIMING COVERS LEAKING,OIL PANS WARPING AND LEAKING,IT WAS A TOTAL LEMON.IT WAS SO BAD THAT NISSAN ENDED THAT PARTNERSHIP AND THE NEW GENERATION QUEST IS NOW AN ALL NISSAN/RENAULT CAR SITTING ON MAXIMA PLATFORM.

First gen was a VG30E.
Second was a VG33E.
We had a first gen for like 2 months cuz it was utter garbage....
It was also the Mercury Villager and the Ford Aerostar... built in the US.
Never again, except maybe the newest one.

Guys, GM does not suck. Yes they have built some cars that do suck(just like Nissan) but all their products do not suck.
The 3.8L V6 and SC 3.8L V6 is a terriffic proven powertrain as is the Z06 and current base model Vette.
Ford on the other hand...........
