Places to find ODD Rcvr/dryers??!

General Chat

Q:

I am looking for a reciever dryer for an '89 Subaru 5 door wagon, with a Matsushita N-1300 compressor. ALL the dryers I got so far have had a TOO LARGE hole in the input/ output tubes so that they don't tighten on their 16mm threads. I have been looking for weeks. If you know of any BIG PLACES or places that can help me re-use this old one, or even a place that will cutt off the fittings and put them on a NEW receiver/ dryer, please let me know. The dealer no longer has these for THIS WAGON. I know I have disappointed the hell out of this Subaru owner. Personally, I find the Subaru dealer in Santa Monica to be far MORE rinky-dink than the Datsun dealer, in S.M. I worked at in the seventies!!! We had this large metal "dry cleaners" type of rotating parts system in 1974. Press a button and the parts came to the window. In 2006 Subaru has "just in time" bull$hit excuses! Norm K

AC Parts?
Try this number 770-474-8300 and ask for Jim Beaver. I am not sure they have the parts but they may direct you in the correct direction.
