Q:
Did you ever complete the vinyl versions? Or did you just stick with the wood peices?

DMS,
Hey, thanks for your interest! I just got back from a week in Michigan at my sister's home. I also went to Pa. over the weekend and had to miss the Michigan Woodward Cruise. MAN WERE THERE SOME NICE CARS RIDING AROUND OUT THERE. I remember these cars from the 60s and they did not look as good NEW as they did now. Just unbelievable.
Anyway, with regard to the stereo install, I was mostly finished then had some ideas on the plane ride to Michigan so the job had been extended once again. You know how that goes. Mostly want to build more wood trim pieces around the speakers that I have yet to install. That should bring a little more wood into the interior and make things look a little more consistent. It never ends! When I get finished, (notice my optimism) I'll post pics of the finished job.
Hey Norm, good call on the Japanese leather.
