hey guys i just bought a new truck, well not new but new to me 800 bucks scored me this licensed/registered 66 chevy.
brother in law sold it to me. was his daily driver till he got the tranny fixed in his tahoe
350 with a 4 speed from a 59 tow truck (so its kinda low geared :) its a 3/4 ton. runs good though..tracks good,...brakes work good....drives straight...its a good truck so far
BUT its a longbed, but thats ok, i work at a metal fabrication shop :) so i can make it a short bed if i want...i may just make it a cool flatbed though

Hard to find one of those that's not rotted to pieces! The engine alone looks like it's worth more than the $800 you paid! If it were mine I would put a 700R4 auto tranny in to replace the granny gear one...
Best of luck...

Trucks are SUPPOSED to have long beds. How else can you haul a decent amount of stuff? Those wimpy short beds can't even haul a bicycle without being crowded. That 1 looks good enough to enjoy driving & beat up enough to use without great worry about the paint. Perfect.
Anyone can drive a new car.

im stoked about it, i cant pick it up until NEXT weekend though, the brothers out of town at a car show.
