How do I adjust the trunk latch?

Interior Exterior

Q:
My trunk does not seal so well, especially on my slanted driveway. Search tells me that adjusting my trunk latch might help, but I find no instructions.
Can someone help?
Thanks.
A:
If you're parking with the nose pointing uphill, you're going to have problems, that are a result of the way the trunk drains are designed. No matter how tightly the decklid is shut, water will probably drip into the trunk.
You either need to park nose downhill, or install a drain like this thread shows:

There are references on the board to adjusting the trunk latch, but no instructions on how to do this.

I hear the drain works great.

Best $40.00 you will every spend.

Just a few left....

Post #12 on this thread has a tip for raising the deck lid ever so slightly. Maybe you can somehow do the opposite. I don't know whether this will do it.

I think that adjustment just raises the height of the lid after you unlock it, so that it is easier to grab without marring the paint with your fingernails. What needs to be adjusted is the latch which is immediately behind the plunger circled in that picture. I don't know if it is adjustable, though, without modification.
There is another post on this site by someone who stiffened up the gasket by running rod or tubing through the hollow trunk lid gasket.
