Q:
I peeled my lettering (Lotus and Elise) off almost immediately. One of the letters already had a bunged corner and it makes it a lot easier to wash/wax/etc.
Seemed to cut down on curious motorists riding my bumper to read those little letters. I'd probably take the badge off the nose if it weren't for the holes it 'plugs into'. I like clean vs. cluttered. Just used my finger nails to turn up each edge and then carefully and evenly pulled. No residue or anything to clean on mine, but I picked mine up when the weather was still cool and it didn't spend any time sitting out in the sun. I was actually surprised at how easily they came off, since I'd de-lettered my other cars and had to use a hot air gun & plastic spatula.

I've been thinking or ordering some beveled letters to replace the foil looking letters. Any one have any experience with these?

A few people here have done that, Stan being one of them. He has posted in at least a couple of threads showing the original stickers compared to both large and small metal letters. I suggest doing a search for posts Stan has made on that subject.

I love the black letters. Where did you get those and how easy was putting them on?
I've put the black letters on. Got them from SweetDaddyD. It took roughly an hour to put on, working slow. Most of the time was ensuring they were positioned correctly. I believe he is selling on eBay now - and using my car as the reference photo

Do you have a picture of your own by chance? I'd like to see it.

I got a set of these from elise usa. They are a bit too thick for me. You can have it for $50 + shipping.

Here is a not very good picture. I drove the Elise for a month with no letters and had to have gotten the "what kind of car is that" question 100 times - four or five time more than when it's spelled out on the back...

Might be interested but going out of town for the weekend. Can I get back to you on mon?
Thanks for the pics Edadddy. Nice choice of color on the car, looks good.

I have the smaller letters (beveled) from eliseusa and love them. Everyone thinks that they fit the car much better than the stickers from the factory. The emblem in my opinion looks great as well.

There is no black rear badge.
Well...... sorta... Got some black badge resin covered stickers from stickercity that stick on top of the original Lotus badge. Since they are resin covered, they are "3D" so it does look like a proper badge.
