Also, is you were sitting in the passenger seat it is differnet than the drivers. Apparently it is 2/3 of ths size.
Has the 2/3 thing been confirmed? I failed to get out a tape measure last time I was in an Elise but I did squint at the seats and they looked to be the same size to me. Is my eyesight failing or are the seats actually the same size? Perhaps my butt is failing too, it didn't notice a size difference either.

Driver and passenger seats are *identical* in size.
But.. They are positioned differently in the car.
The passenger seat is placed right at the outside edge of the chassis, while the driver's seat is moved closer to the middle.
The driver has a little more physical space than the passenger, but the seats themselves are the same.
Oh.. And the seat shells themselves are made from fiberglass too, so for the original poster it's unfrtunte but they cannot be 'bent' in any way.
Bye, Arno.

I don't think height/weight are so much the issue. I think it's more to do with your skeletal structure. I have a wide frame naturally. Even if I get down to 200 pounds, I'll still be 36" around the waist. At 6'1" and 210, I don't think you'll have many problems.

Hmm, will people drop off lists when they test drive and find out how tight the car really is?
That's one way to move up...
A:
I'm not dropping of the list just yet. I'll have to think about it seriously, though. It's a lot more cramped-feeling with the top on. And since I was planning on getting the hard top, I might be putting myself in an awkward position.

If ever there was a good reason to eat friggin' salad, the Elise has to be it...

Thanks Arno,
That fits very well with how I felt sitting in the car both as driver and passenger. When you're in the passenger seat it is very clear to you that you are only there because the driver deigns you allow you in their car. There's nothing to hold onto either...fortunately the seat grips you well enough that you don't really need an Oh Sh*t Handle.

What are the main differences and pros/cons between the three models (B, C, and S)?
The 'C' & 'S' models are a twin skin seats that are the lightest @ about 5lbs each. The 'C' is full carbon fiber while the 'S' has a carbon fiber back and silver texalium on the front side. The twin skin seats flex a bit for additional comfort. They are actually alot more comfortable than they look.
The 'B' is our budget model. It is full carbon fiber but glossy only on the front side. Since you can't really see the backside of the seat in an Elise, this is a non issue. It weighs a bit more = 8lbs.
We should have all models in a couple of weeks.

This may sound really dumb, but have you taken the crap out of your pockets? With my wallet, checkbook and misc stuff in my pockets, the seat feels tight, and I'm 6' 185 pounds. Taking out the wallet and checkbook makes a world of difference for me. I have extra room, then.
Just a thought....

If you wear tights and a leotard in place of your regular clothing it should help. However, I would stay away from pink. Fat guys and pink don't look too good. Stay with the black or dark navy.

Maybe I should make a Tron costume and drive around in that?? Or would people think that I'm Randy?

2000 lbs/190 hp = 10.5263 lbs/hp
1995 lbs/190 hp = 10.500 lbs/hp
2000 lbs/(10.500 lbs/hp) = 190.4762 hp
So 5 lbs loss (in an Elise) = +0.4762 hp

I heard a rumor that the steering wheel is not actually centered to the driver's seat. Is this a pre-production thing, or are the Fed cars really like that?
A:
Yes, it's off center by about a half inch. It's not noticable when you are seated.
Yes, give me your wallet and checkbook. I will go make my order official while you see how the seat fits.

Hehe.... can't believe you did the math!
A:
Ground,
What steu says, I just went out and checked with a plum line, about 1/2", certainly not noticeable in driving.

So...
Are the Reverie seats slightly wider in the hip dimension than the stock Touring seats?
A:
I don't know which Reverie seat Shinoo has/had in his car at the time, but it was narrower than the stock touring seat.
