Chrome oil filler cap on e-bay - $11.00
Lotus shift knob sticker - $2.00
The oohs and ahhs I get when I show people the engine.... umm... well they don't really ooh and ahh at the engine.. mostly it's the size of the tiny trunk... but anyways... the oohs and ahhs I get form my Lotus...
priceless
For everything else... there's always a ride in the car around some twisties!

What's the source for the chrome oil filler cap?
A:
I bought an aluminum cap at Billets $10. Just got my can of B95 paint today and plan on painting the valve covers this weekend if the winds cooperate.

I forgot to mention that it's the Toyota oil cap. Sorry.

You can get the cap at nearly any autoparts store that can get import stuff....it's a cheap generic threaded Toyota cap. I'm the guy who talked triple-c into selling the shift knob inserts separately. Lime Rock Race Track, September '04.

The insert for the shifter logo can be obtained by calling the guy at www.triple-c.com

I called Triple-C and they are no longer selling just the inserts. Anyone able to find one somewhere else?

I called Triple-C and they are no longer selling just the inserts. Anyone able to find one somewhere else? Actually I'm not surprised. When I bought mine the very nice lady on the phone said 'We hope that you remember us for your parts.' It's a really cheap part $2 IIRC.

Is this the correct decal for the oil cap?
http://www.triple-c.com/Store_Detail...ShowLarge=True
Thanks,

A:
No, those are just stick on decals, like childrens stick on cartoon characters. What you want is a 'shift insert.' It has a bit more substance, almost like it has a layer of soft plastic/acrylic over it, if you look at the pic on the very first post in this thread you can get a feel for how much thicker it is. I ordered them by calling triple C and asking for them, couldn't find it on the website.

Thank you Babak

My cartoon stick on is sticker is holding up quite well, FWIW. So are my painted engine covers.

Great idea!
When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was gonna be a cup holder!
