Does anyone actually like the raised LOTUS letters on the back of '07s?

Q:
If it were completely badgeless, the Elise would look like a kit car.
+1

I didn't have a problem with it until I thought about washing and waxing around the lettering. The flush decals make cleaning up so much easier. I like the decals for the simplicity and ease of washing and waxing. But if my car came with the raised letters, I certainly wouldn't be removing them.

I'm not a fan of the badge on the rear.

But then I'm used to the traditional look (I even had to find new letters to replace the originals when I re-did my Elan). Cleaning the wax with a tooth brush is a pain:

Badge it all the way.

I like the decal best, unfortunately they peel off over time. Even with careful washing, one of these days they will need to be replaced. The raised letters look good, but have the issue with washing, drying and waxing around them.
Many people are replacing with the Lotus "Badge" - same as on the front end.
It wold be nice to know where to buy a supply of the decals so they can be replaced every couple of years if necessary.
the supply is right here. I can provide them in any color you want. Chrome, brushed aluminum, reflective, flat black- whatever you want.

Badge > Letters
Then again I'm the type of guy who would rather buy a shirt without announcing to the world who made it. (Admittedly though, I'd rock a MUGATU sweater or hat in a second LOL!!!)
I figure the badge is enough for those that know what a Lotus is, and clean enough to keep the car looking nice and not screaming "Look at me I'm a L-O-T-U-S".

If I had a smiley face puking I'd post it...

A:
Of course, if the Elise/Exige came with raised letters from the beginning, we'd all be complaining about how cheap the rumored 2007 decals look. Good point.
A:
The decals are at least discrete. The raised letters are like "HEY, I KNOW YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM. I'M A LOTUS!!" I have to kinda agree here too.

2007 Exige S on order from Mark Starr of HRM. Exp.delivery 1/1/07 to 3/1/07 Chrome Orange w black CF trim, touring, track,LSD,TC and Starshield. Already looking into performance/power upgrades.
You think there's anything "discrete" about your chosen car?
A:
or 'discreet', even.

A:
I don't care for either the '05 or the '06 rear lettering. I like the badge, but at the moment I'm too cheap and too lazy to install one.
A:
You think there's anything "discrete" about your chosen car? What?!! LoL
Chrome Orange is not discreet?
A:
Prefer the badge from the front...
A:
I don't like the stickers. I especially don't like the raised letters. Is the front badge what some are putting on the back? anyone have a pic? Sorry if I missed it.

Is the front badge what some are putting on the back? anyone have a pic? Sorry if I missed it. Not quite. It looks the same, but it's the European rear badge. You can order them for at least one of the regular vendors.

The rear badge has a curved back to match the curve of the rear panel while the front badge is flat on it's back - they are not interchangeable for mounting. But the Lotus emblem is the same...

Actually it's a separate part which is contoured to fit the surface of the rear clam, but yes, it does look identical to the one up front.
Here's a picture of mine...
okay.... just kidding.... now the real thing...

A:
In the process of deciding what to put on the back of the flat black. I think the silver decal lettering may be too much of a contrast. I was thinking of going with the raised lettering and painting them glossy black to tone it down. At the same time, I'm not looking forward to having people ride my ass trying to figure out what the car is. I've yet to see a badge for the rear clam in black and silver. Decisions, decisions.
A:
i love the raised letters. Makes it look more expensive.
A:
This may sound bad but on my elise the Lotus Decals did not come with it. I like that. When I am in traffic I see people pulling up behind me and trying to figure out what my car is. It is so funny to see how perplexed they get.
A:

Good one... No i am not a fan either.
