Haven't seen a post before about this but I was wondering does anyone know of a key blank for the Elise with a Lotus emblem on it?
The current key is so plain, it seems that a car like the Elise should have a key with an enameled emblem.
Does anyone else agree?

I thought about it until someone pointed out that unlike a Honda or BMW key, a Lotus key will be a dead giveaway as to which car to go steal.

Even my Esprit's keys never had the emblem, which was OK with me.

Ding, I'm happy with a plain key. My keyring is not a Lotus one either.

I suppose it's possible one might lose they key, but honestly what are the odds of that. Most other high end car manufacturers have an emblem on their key, why not Lotus?

Yeh, I'd imagine not too many cars are actually stolen (by strangers, anyway) with the owner's key. Of course this assumes that the stupid tire place doesn't park your car out in the front lot with the KEYS INSIDE!! Good thing for Lo-Jack (and that it wasn't my Elise).

Certainly the odds are against it. But I'm not going to give a thief any more help than I have to.
