I bought the rear emblem to replace the LOTUS stickers on the back of the car. This is the official Lotus one, curved to fit. (They're only about $14.50 from the dealer!) It's got the double-stick stuff on the back. What do I use to clean the surface of the car before mounting? Denatured alcohol? Full strength or diluted?
Also, exactly where does it go on the rear panel area? Midway between top and bottom edge of the rear, I assume -- correct?

mine is centered between the brake lights,12.125" from the inside edge of the recess for the inside brakelight to the outside edge of the badge,and centered top to bottom approx. 2.75" from the crease that runs under the brake lights,and from the dividing line(you will know it when you see it)directly under the spoiler lip.Hope that helps.

I peeled the T off and left the other letters to use as a reference. I centered the badge over the spot where the T had been.

Thanks, guys. What I ended up doing was lining it up (horizontally) with the centers of the 2 innermost tail lights. That also seemed to be a good spot, where it fit the curve well. I used alcohol to prep the spot, per some instructions I saw on a "how to" site for applying vinyl stickers.

Can the Lotus pre curved emblem be attached below the LOTUS lettering on the back of our Elise's?? or is the curve that mouch different asto not adhere well?? Has anyone done this?? Can they please post a pic??? showing their positioning???

Funny, I did the opposite. I peeled off all the letters, cleaned off the residue of the L, O, U, S and simply mounted the badge over the residue of the 'T'.
