some new additions to my elise:
1. v1 mirror from ragnarok (thanks brett!). works perfectly, never have to take my eyes off the road. It's a shade darker than the stock mirror. I used an external volume control mounted between the ac and steering wheel. v1 is on a mount on the 4tress bar from sector111.
2. ricambi halon fire extinguisher, silver. I used chasecam mounts (thanks randy!) to attach it to my 4tress harness bar. It had to be mounted upside down due to the harness slots on top of the bar. I actually prefer it this way, because it is out of view / sunshine, and very easy to remove in a hurry.
3. tomtom gps. fits great, i can use it without removing both hands from the wheel. it's so close, i just move a finger over to use it. also customized the startup / shutdown screen. had it hardwired into the stereo, so it turns on and off with the car and doesnt drain the battery.
also (but no pics) alpine head unit, and jl audio speakers. sounds way better than stock!

it's a bit of a hack, but it's easy to do. Plug the tomtom into your computer with a usb cable. There is a file called splash.bmp, that can be modified to whatever you like. the dimensions should stay 320 x 240. It also has to be rotated 90 degrees. (you'll see what I mean when you open up the standard splash.bmp)

My my $0.02... but I'd make the surrounding LOTUS background black, not white - so the logo appears to float on the screen during startup... very, very nice job BTW!

Brett... I see you have moved the location of the arrows from the right side to the left. What are the other changes you have made to the V1 mirror?

The only thing I'd change is the color of the hose clamps...maybe spray paint them black to blend in with the bar. They'd be a lot less noticeable. Great job!

I've uploaded both white and black bg versions of the startup screen. They need to stay rotated 90 degrees for the TomTom to use them correctly.
The voice nav could work through my stereo, but I chose not to because I like to be listening to music, while the gps is navigating. Otherwise, I could hook the gps into the aux input.

painted it black to match the bar. it's unfortunate that the v1 mount has to cover some of the sector111 logo. my harness bar now says "sector1"

That way the screws would not be visible and it would look cleaner. Other than that, it looks good...
