Vinyl Striping

Interior Exterior

Q:
I know there have been various threads on this already, but is there a manufacturer that produces vinyl stripes for the Elise? Can I order from HRM directly or are there other stores that sell them? I can find a shop locally to install, but where would I buy the initial product from?!? ...and lastly, how much can I expect to pay?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am located in the SF Bay Area. Thanks!

More importantly, what color are you thinking of?
A:
PINK!
...just kidding!
I was thinking possibly a matte silver? Whatcha think?
A:

That will get some attention
A:
Ok buuuummmmppp. No one can actually NAME a place that sells this stuff?!??
A:
Andy at SC Elise, www.stickercity.com
I've seen his work personally and it's pretty good. You'd have to come down to LA though I bet.
A:
Use Randy's link on the banners,
Hmmn not there, but you can refresh this page until you see SC Elise in the banner
Randy, the forum sponsors page needs some updating and work
Edit: using the banners helps the website.

Why, Jen, why?! Aubbie's perfect as-is... although I won't be able to take him off your hands, when the time comes...

I do vinyl graphics for anyone who is interested. You would still need to install it yourself or find someone to install it. I only use high performance film for large stripes. It costs more but it's more durable and conforms to curves much better. If anyone wants to PM me with the widths and lenghts of their bulk striping order I'd be happy to give a reasonable quote. Also if you would prefer to install it taped or untaped (for just basic stripes I like to go untaped)

I bought some vinyl stripes from edecals.com, although I have not yet had a chance to put them on the car. Its been way too hot here in TX, but its cooling off now so hopefully I'll be driving a bordeaux red w/silver stripes.
I can recommend edecals, I've used them for lots of stuff on my boat.
Anyone who can do a clear bra or window tint should be able to do it, although certainly a professional would be recommended.

SCElise (Andy) is in her area, so he can actually do the install. Couldn't find info on his site so Jen you might need to call him.

I owuld go with SCELISE. Andy is a nice guy and has a reasonable price. Some idiots are charging 1400 for the striping, and it is a giant sticker!!! Don't pay that, demand a better price, or go see Andy. Its up to you. Your only decision ot weather or not to put the LOTUS lettering on the back or a custom logo. I believe ANDY charges in the 600-700 dollars range depending on pin striping, etc etc. A good price by any measure.
A:
SCElise is the best...
A:
Holy Crap- $1,400! I've sent bulk striping out to people to DIY for $50 in the past!
"$600-$700 a good price by any measure" ! Sure, if you are the one collecting the $700! I love "the Lotus effect" on the price of everything. Awesome. It's funny, you could get a Celica striped all day long for $150 at a ricer shop. All day long. But hey for a Lotus a header is $1,600, and owners manual is $160, a CAI is $600, shifter knob is $200, floor buttons are $50, oil cap is $60, hell the first oil change is $300, mufflers can be $1,500.....
That's awesome though. Good for them. For the record, I'm not hating at all. Jealous, but not hating. And they have a banner at the top, which means the support the forum, so it's all good.
A:
Jen,
Andy at SC Elise does a great job and is a nice guy too.
A:
Yes agree. Andy from SC is the man. He did mine.
A:
Does anyone have pics on how vinyl stripes actually look.. I mean like really close-up, detailed photos of elise + stripes???
