I found a cheaper solution to the small mirror from Shinoo(sorry Shinoo).r.d.enterprises has a small black plastic mirror with a day/night switch that is about seven inches wide, and half as high.this mirror works the same as the big mirror, mounts with a sticky mount to the windshield, and best of all cost about $50 delivered.www.rdent.com

A:
Can't find it on the site.
A:
Picture please?
I didn't see it on their website. Is it a call and order thing?
A:
Ok, I think I've looked at every page on that very unorganized site and I didn't see it. Is it on there? Any pics or other info?
A:
Same here. Can't find it on the site.
A:
O.K....Ray's site isn't the best, but Ray is.call him on monday@215-538-9323 and tell him Greg sent you so he can call and harrass me.

7 inches is still a little wide. I measured the dimensions of the mirror that would allow me to see about the full area between the headrests, and came up with 5.5 x 1.5 inches. If your seat is further back than mine (I am in about the middle), then you would need to go a little wider. I'll try to remember to check that tomorrow.

I'm very happy with the Sector111 mirror. Yeah, it doesn't have a dimmer, so I just adjust it by hand and it's no big deal at all.
I've seen the brushed aluminum and black finishes and went with the black one for my Elise.
The 7" wide mirror would still block my view.

I needed the day/night feature,and I thought shinoo's was beautiful,but a lttle expensive

I agree, it's more money, but they're making them in small quantities and the R&D costs have fewer production units to be spread across.

I have the sector111 mirror. Sort of a pain to install.
And honestly, it really needs to be a tad bit bigger. Although it's field of view between the headrests just right, the extremely small size is difficult for my eyes to deal with. Because I am focusing on the small reflective area then trying to look at what's behind me reflected in it, it takes a bit longer for my eyes to adjust. It almost gives me a headache to use.
And I don't like the lack of dimmer function.
I guess I shoulda sent it back, but I diidn't realize it until after my install.
And yet, it looks better than the big behemoth of a mirror installed by the factory...

If you want to sell it, let me know.

I wanted a smaller mirror as well. I did not like the oval shape of the Sector 111 solution. I also wanted to pick my own size and so decided to see what I could do with the existing mount. I tried several different methods, including bolting a billet small mirror from a VW bug store to the existing mount. I ended up getting a mirror intended for an Austin Healy, and modifying it to work.
I hesitated to announce it here for fear you all might make fun of my home spun solution. While it looks a bit crude, I will bet mine is the lightest so far!

Well a perfect example of getting what you payed for...

A:
... I am sorry but IMO I would much rather put a mirror like this one in my $50,000 car. but to each it's own.

Likewise, I just installed the Sector111 brushed aluminum mirror. I love it! It's the perfect size. You only need to see the area between the headrests anyway. There's no need for anything larger. It's a quality product. You definetly get what you pay for.

I do love my Sector 111 micro mirror. I also thought it was a bit too small when I got it but it is the perfect size. You can see everything that is between the seats out the rear window and I can now also see out the front right of the car as well.
I have spotted more than a few officers of the law coming up fast in it
And it is beautiful in this car, it fits the design of the car

What about the lack of the day/night feature? Don't headlights in the mirror glare at night?

How could officers of the law catch up to you?
Just remember..the solution to our blind spot....drive faster than everyone else.
