I got a cup holder!!!

Q:
Finally.... I can put my drinks in the car!
It takes away some precious space from the passanger side, but for small people like me and my girlfriend that's not a problem
I spent about 10 minutes installing the cup holder and the sill protectors from Blackwatch Racing.

One of these days I'm gonna cave in and get a steady girlfriend. I'll let her hold the cup.

One of these days I'm gonna cave in and get a steady girlfriend. I'll let her hold the cup. Lol...., mine has been holding not just drinks, but also food, shirts for the drycleaner, my book bag, etc. She started to complain so...
A:
Right. I recommend rotating the girlfriends out if you are going to be using them as cupholders. I find that they wear out quickly otherwise...

I also have one of these drink holders from Blackwatch Racing. I don't really have the need or desire to have a drink in the Elise that much, so I've only used it a few times, but it's really a nice thing to have. This one is very simple to use, it clips on and off the aluminum tray in a second. The only drawback I've found with it so far is that for tall drinks, you have to make sure the c.g. is low enough because it can want to go "over center" and get sideways. No spillage so far, but double-check the balance before you take that turn really hard. I do think the "gimble" approach is a good one for this car, because otherwise I would think spillage could be even more of an issue.
A:
I have the gimbled holder also. Haven't had any problems with it yet. I do have the tendency to put other stuff in it, like sunglasses, pens, lipstick, french fries! I am not used to holders in my MR2. So everything gravitates to there..
Where will I put my drink???
hehe

My window hangers work great, and are needed for bringing fast food and drinks home for the family. And they store behind the seats when not in use!

I've got the Sector 111 high-tech cupholder. Took about 10sec to install. Works great for a variety of sizes of Starbuck's beverages both hot and cold
Yes, I am a cummuter and I DO drink coffee in the car during the I-405 part of the commute.
