The pedals are cut from extrusions, same as the chassis and thus very much in the same spirit and philosophy that drove the development and engineering of this car. Hard to improve on them IMO.

But unfortunately, the existing 2005 pedals are going away.

Yes those are supposed to be the new pedals....but note that this is also a premium interior option car...not sure if the "lesser" equipped Elises get the same setup or not.

All cars will get the new pedals. Has to do with the drive by wire.

Hey, my point was after you have removed all the large amounts of mass, here is another option to remove just that little more. Geez, this is a tough crowd.

Yep. Notice that they are all the same extrusion, just "sliced" to different thicknesses. As said before, pure car porn...
