I've been running the Balckwatch Racing front license plate mount since early July and I thought I'd post an update about it.
It's held up really well. To date, I've hit two cones and yesterday I scraped it coming out of a parking lot. There has been no damage to the car and the plate holder is still as good as new. Granted I had to bend the plate back.
A few of the screws feel a little loose, so I'd recommend when you assemble it ti use a little Locktite just to keep the screws tight. Other than that, no problems at all. I definately don't need a spring loaded holder, this works great and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to run the front plate.

I haven't mounted mine yet. Got it today. Did you put anything between the plate and the "block" under the grill? Say, some tape or foam to keep it from scratching the paint?
