Spill-proof cupholder - Introducing the BWR Liquid Caddy

Interior Exterior

Q:
Over the past few months I've tried 3 different cupholders.
My first inclination was to go with the excellent stainless steel cupholders made by the nice folks at Ultimate Cupholders. These not only look terrific, but work very well too. I was all set to offer these when I stumbled across something that while not quite as stylish, works better than any cupholder I have ever seen.
I have been testing this new cupholder for a couple of weeks now, and it works better than I could have hoped. It is gimbal mounted, so it leans with the car, and swivels under acceleration and braking. No more spilled coffee! No more water bottles rolling around on the floor!
The size of the cup is even adjustable to accomodate large and small drinks. Just pull and twist the bottom of the cup holder and it will increase in length and at the same time automatically adjust its inner diameter. Neoprene, inside the holder insulates any beverage to keep it at its proper temperature, and no condensation drips onto the floor or seats.
It comes with three different mounts. A suction cup mount to hang it from the window, a roll bar mount to hang it from your harness bar, and best of all, a clip that is curved perfectly to match the shape of the aluminum tray under the dash.
And the best thing? It's only $12.99!
I expect my first shipment in the next few days...

Do you set it so the passenger straddles it? Might as well just have them hold your drink for you.

Awesome...........

That is quite a deal!

$10 shipping
Group buy, anyone? October 2 delivery?
A:
I'm in for a San Diego group buy. We can connect at Campus Pt some time.

I am meeting Robert for lunch later this week so I can transfer some racing stuff to him (that will get transported to Topeka, no reason to carry my helmet on the plane).
If someone on San Diego wants me to pick up some of these bad boys, let me know.

I started to order two of them, plus the Passenger Dead Pedal Protector. The total came to $50, and the shipping came to $30 for USPS, or $36 for DHL Ground. It would apprear that they're trying to profit on the shipping. I would prefer if they just listed an honest price for the products and charged actual shipping. I can't help but feel scammed when shipping rates are so inflated. I'll pass on ordering from Blackwatch until they revisit their shipping rates. That's too bad, since it looks like they have some nice stuff and plan on offering more usefull Elise items in the future.

A:
I like Shinoo's cup holder better than this. That's just my opinion.
A:
I like that cup design, but it takes up precious space in the cockpit. I'll stick with my KMart window danglers....

Yes, I went to order a cup holder and passenger floor sill protector. $20 bucks for shipping? May cost them about $5.00 for Priority Mail. I passed on the order...just a principle thing.

With some post processing...

The shipping problem is an error and is being worked on.
At least the web guys said they'd have it fixed this week...
I have always manually corrected this issue in the past, although admittedly it wasn't much of a problem when I only sold 3 or 4 different products...
A:
you should offer it in maching body color.

Couple of notes...
1. The shipping problem will be fixed asap. In the meantime, refunds will be given to those who are inadvertently over-charged for shipping. Price gouging has never been part of the business plan here at Blackwatch. If it were, would I be selling a $12.99 cup holder?
2. I have seen complaints elsewhere when folks come on Elisetalk and promote their company's products in a less than above board manner. In the interest of keeping things above board, it would be more honest... if those with relationships or business ties to other Elisetalk advertisers were upfront about those relationships when they make negative posts about competitive products, or just refrain from posting in threads that are about competing products.
I might think a competing product from someone else to have major design flaws and look horrible, but I don't post in their threads...
A:
Robert,
Thanks for clearing up the shipping charge issue...order just placed.
A:
Just bought one, shipping was $5.
Seemed like a good deal to me

If you're accusing me of posting that I don't like your cupholder because I'm dating Lillie, you're way off base. I posted in Shinoo's thread that I wouldn't buy that cupholder either. I don't want a cupholder in my elise. I'm on this board with my own opinion, period.
I'm not going to modify my opinion because of anyone's business... so when I pointed out your cupholder is going to get in the way of the passenger's legs, it's cause I think it will. I also think it's big, ugly and plasticky, and very tacky. This is a forum for opinion, and I've given you mine.
