For those who have a miata and a factory car cover, does the cover fit the elise? If so, what year is your Miata? It'd be nice to have a Mazda logo on the cover.

It should fit no problem, the miata's a bigger car overall so it'd be a little baggy though (but that's probably what you're going for anyway...)

My son got a cover with his Miata when he bought it from a private party. He never put it on but I assumed it fit the Miata. I used it for my Europa but I had to really pull on it to get it on. It was really tight on the Europa, so I doubt that it would fit the Elise. Never tried it on the Elise though and I gave it away with the Europa.

That sounds like the cover wouldn't have fit the miata then, because the Elise (and Europa) ARE smaller cars.

I have a non-factory cover (generic Evolution III fabric) sized for the
Miata, and it definitely fits the Elise. A little baggy width-wise, but the
length is perfect. Don't know if it's exactly the same dimensions as the
factory cover, though. Although I'm all for advertising Lotus, I think the
stealth approach has it's advantages for car covers used for overnight
outdoors storage.

Yea, my elise has to stay outside and people can still tell it's a lotus even with the cover (probably the fact that its green and yellow doesnt help). Once I even came out to turn the sprinklers off and found 2 kids on their bikes with a corner pulled up. They were saying "omg thats sexy, its so sexy, its just sexy" (kinda saddens me that our youths vocabalary is so limited (oh and yea i know i spelled vocab wrong)). I started walking towards them and they got this deer caught in headlights look, put the cover back down really quick and bolted.
What annoyed me wasn't really that they pulled the cover up but they ran. If they were just like "hey is this your car?, or man, thats a nice car" i probably would have been nice and pulled the cover off and given them a tour.
