Prototype Grille

Interior Exterior

Q:
Shinoo and KMS,
Neat products. Just FYI, I am also interested in the following:
Exige style fiberglass splitter
Mesh grilles for front and radiator vents (would want mine black, but I can paint them easily enough)
Side scoops (perhaps in something cheaper than CF?)
Exige style wing
Exige fastback style engine cover.
I'll probably order the grilles as soon as they are listed on the site.
Thanks!

Thanks for your suggestion. The Hex/Honey Comb is very nice. I will find out more about their availabilities. Because we need to find a replacement for the mesh that we used on our protype grille since that particular mesh( not a regular expanded type) is no longer available (we were told this by our supplyer).

You might get some ideas from this site as well:

Not sure that "decorative" mesh will be able to hold up to the rigors of everyday driving at 75 Mph.
This place seems to have mesh for industrial use which should hold up just fine, it's even offered in stainless and aluminum too. Look under "Wire Cloth 1 thru 15", "Perforated Metals" and "Expanded Metals". I like the look of some of the more exotic stuff like Dutch Weave but son't think it would flow much air.

Here is my modified radiator cover. This time I used an ultra light weight(but strong) Aluminum mesh.I used this mesh on my friends Porsche Turbo and they are working perfect on the car. I found It's too hard to make a clean looking mesh only cover like the ones on Exiges due to a difficulty of covering some rough looking areas around the radiator openings. I will take some day time pics tomorrow. If anyone interested in doing this, our shop can do it for you. Please PM me.
P.S. Please excuse my hand prints on my car's front panels. It was getting dark out side and I had to use my camera's flash and whara!. I dinn't think my hand was that dirty....

I want to add to my last thread that to do this modification you have to sacrifice your stock cover. I will have some of the Honeycomb mesh next week and I will try them on this modification as well.

me like!

I appears, from this angle, that you've made the area behind the radiator vent more sloped - like the old S2, is that right or is it an optical illusion?

Was looking at a R series Jag today. The grill looks like a thick gage straight weave pattern turned 45% to look like diamond shapes.

That's the one I've been harping on them to do but to no avail...

What's the status on these grills?

Any update on these grills?

I think that Wes said he would be away for a few weeks, so you may want to ask again in a couple of weeks

Hello Guys! I am back (for a little while). I have so many projects going and I can not get all of them done. I am still working on these Grilles and I can do Radiator Grilles now if anyone interested ($265 w/your grille). I have to have your OE Grilles to get this mods done. I need more time for the front Grilles (3 pieces) since they take a lot of abuses than the rest of grilles on this car. I am not very happy with the ones that I tryed so far. i don't want to market something that I am not happy with.
A:
Any luck with the front grills yet, KMS Elise? I really liked the way your prototypes looked, but understand about your durability concerns.
Justin.

If you want to get it done I can help you (on poersonal basis). I have decided not to market my grilles since I do not want to deal with the retail sales. You do need some creative thinking and approaches to attach the side grilles and I know for sure that some people will have problems with them.
But once they are in, they look very nice!
A:
Well hopefully you will rethink this mod and come out with something around Xmas time (hopefully when I can get my Elise).
Thanks
Ryan
