Interior Exterior
Q:
Patience!
The drawings were just dropped off at the machine shop.
Next, they build the prototype.
Then, we do a test fit.
Then, we get it anodized.
Then, we live with it for a couple of weeks and make sure there's no problems.
Then, we go into production.
Maybe a month from now you can buy one.
Maybe a little quicker...
Who's on the spy-shots? Where's that thread with Randy and Roberts home addresses?
A:
ahh my plates are due anytime now.

Quit wasting time and get back to the PDR.
Bwahahaaaha.. Cold, but I have to confess I was thinking the same thing. There can be no other development going on at ChaseCam HQ.. PDR100 status meeting every morning, TPS cover sheets..
Last Thursday I celebrated my 1yr "pre order" anniversary by digging out the CF card I bought in preparation.
At least with the Lotus wait, I could buy keychains, watches, "Lotus Parking" signs... Where's the PDR swag?
A:
PDR hats! I need to make PDR hats!
(randy slinks off to design more...)

Heheh, yeh, sent to me by Tom Fulp himself!
Cool! He made a good decision IMO to not sell the site. Do you know him personally? Seems like a smart guy. I have a lot of respect for those who blaze their own paths and are willing to take risks to achieve their goals. Where can I get my sticker?

Yeh, I've known him since before he got all rich and famous.
I'll see if I can use my great influence to obtain a sticker for you (maybe even a tee shirt?!)
A:
Thanks Tyger! That would be sweet! Please tell him I wish he gets all the success he deserves.

Spy shots...
Camera and License Plate mount.
Camera Mounting Bracket can stay installed on the car (or not).
Bottom license plate bracket bolts on using two captive fasteners.
License plate is adjustable in height position to suit personal preference.
This pic shows the lowest position. Can go up to 3 higher positions 1/2" apart.
Material is black anodized aluminum alloy with mostly stainless steel hardware. Nothing bolts to the clam.
A:
Ohhh.. you had to go and put the camera mount on there.. I wants it!
Soooo... taking preorders for '06?
A:
LOL
Ouch

I like it, but does it damage anything if the plate scrapes? It looks pretty low to the ground, I'd imagine going up a steep driveway to find it bends the plate in half. Maybe bending the bracket or even worse bending the tow hook space.
Maybe one that pivots a little bit to send air into the rad and to add extra clearance?
A:
As I posted, it is adjustable in height and that is shown at the lowest setting. I would not want to leave it there like that.
A spring loaded hinge bracket (use the same existing brackets shown above) is in work.
A:
Here is higher....
A:
Randy, in IL we have to have the plate mounted so it cannot swing and at a height of not less than 5 inches from the ground, measuring from the bottom of such plate. Just wondered if your adjustability gets the plate that high? Thanks, Bob.
A:
Looks like a good solution... I got pulled over the other day for no front plate...I told the officer they had sent me the european mounting bracket by mistake...he said he wasn't going to give me a ticket, just wanted to check out the car

I will add in another adjustable point so that the bottom of the plate is 5" off the ground.

I'll take one. -I just got pulled over tonight. The cop was nice enough, stated he wasn't going to give me a ticket, but pointed out that while a "$70.00" fix-it ticket was probably a "drop in the bucket to you..." The law was the law etc... I thought his attitude was interesting; basically you are driving what appears to be an expensive car so you can afford this ticket.
The more I thought about it, the more pissed I got as I drove home. -but that is the price we all pay for having such a great car.
Tell me where to send my $$. When u gonna ship?
btw, the cop also asked if I had been pulled over the day before for the same thing....seams another Elise was pulled over the in the area yesterday. -Let this be a warning for all Honolulu Elise drivers.
A:
Great solution, Randy. I want one as well (I think you'll have lots of interest). Looking forward to pricing/ordering info.

A:
Looks great Randy, any idea on the price?
A:
They are in production.
The finished product is about 4 weeks away and should be in the neighborhood of $45.
