Has anyone with StarShield actually had a ding in an area covered by StarShield repaired? What do they actually do to repair it? Does it look like new after? Just wondering if the cure is worse than the disease for a 2-3 mm ding....

My installer told me that dings in the clear coat can be improved by spraying the area with rubbing alcohol then buffing lightly. Dings that go through can be improved with clear coat but they won't be invisible and the paint protection at that site is gone.

Are we talking about damage to the clear coat or to the clear bra? I thought the whole point of the clear bra was to serve as a replaceable barrier... i.e. if it is damaged you just have that section replaced.
Oh, and the clear bra was only $995... sounds like you may have been overcharged?
