Hello guys, im new here & and live in Orlando, Florida.. getting my Elise next month and well thanks for all the great info.. Thanks to everyone who posts! FYI, The Boxster S is getting the boot after 1 test drive in the Elise!
Anyway, ive been googling the Elise a ton and ran across these pics which showcase 2 things I would love my new lotus to have.. One is the custom color window tenting and the other is the soft top that covers more roof than normal.. The brits get the coolest toys!

Yeah, I don't think you want that. That's the old top design, which I gather was a real PITA to put on.

Hello from another Fl Lotus owner.
My mother has a condo in New Smyrna and one of her new neighbors also lives in Orlando (His name was Tom and he works for Disney) and came over and saw my Elise in the parking lot about a month ago and said that he went for a test drive in one on the west coast of Florida and was asking me if there were any dealers close to Orlando and that he wanted one but was afraid of the reliability since there werent any dealer close by. He told me he had a yellow Boxster. It would be too wierd if this was you!

New update.. Deposit placed on a ST, touring pack, SS, soft top... pick it up in 23 days 35 minutes and 15 seconds... or so. I think you're right Andy... That top only looks cool from the side anyway.. Actually wondering if I should get a hard top... Still think that tenting on the lights and shield is tight though.

xxxotic, that’s not me, I am one of what seems like 4 million Boxster owners in Orlando... BUT, we should all get together and to a road trip to Smyrna and catch lunch at Chases when I hook up with my Elise..

Looking at those pictures made me realize just how badly I lust for a 340R.
(SO badly... If only you could drive it on the streets here in the states..)
