Lotus A340U6010S 340R Racing Seat

Interior Exterior

Q:
Does anyone know if these Lotus supplied carbon racing seats (Very barebone!)
Would fit in the Elise? I have to assume so since they are designed for the 340R, however I am unsure about their mounting pattern in the 340 and whether or not it would fit on stock Elise seat rails, either the pass/fixed or driver/slide rails.
Anyone, anyone? Voodoo..
Lotus P/N: A340U6010S
FYI, Lotus list price in the UK is 599 (pounds), so they ain't cheap...
However, I'm hoping they'll sit lower than the stock (of course they will) and perhaps still, lower than the Reveries, which sit 1" lower than stock to begin with...
Anyone know any dealers?
Know if the pattern matches on the 340R seats with the Elise?
Thanks!

I am glad you made your post Psycho. I have been wishing that my seating was lower in the Elise as well.
Does anybody know of a seat that lowers the height of the perch for the Elise?
Anyone. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

That pic looks like a Reverie seat. I have those and they don't sit lower than stock; well, they would a bit if didn't use the padding which I do use. There isn't much clearance between the seat bottom and floor so I don't see how you could get a seat that actually significantly lower than stock...
Sector111.com sells a Kirkey (sp?) seat that might be lower and/or tilted back more than stock.

Is that listed on their site? I haven't seen it. Is there a link?

I think it is a special order item... email Shinoo or do a search for "tall drivers seat".

I've been trying to get info on the Corbeau motorsport LE seat. I believe that this mounts to lotus floor mounts that are fixed and also have attachments for the sub and lap belts. Pictures of it in the Lotus elise book by Jeremy Walton in the back. Sold at Hangar 111 in England. Have emailed for info but gotten no response yet. Looks like a pretty easy bolt in and out for track days. Anyone else know any more info??

If that is a Reverie, (that Sector111 sells) it apparently sits 1" lower than stock (according to Shinoo) -- I assume he wasn't talking about total seat height, but rather, "butt" height.
This is a lotus supplied part (probably made by somebody else, yes)... but I've never seen pads like that on Reverie's website.
You have the reverie seat from Sector111 (single or double skin?)? Are you saying that your butt is no closer to the floor than with the stock seat?
Thanks!

I replaced the seats a long time ago so my memory may be incorrect, but I don't recall gaining any head room with the Reveries, but if Shinoo says you gain an inch, then I'd go with that info. Note, I have the seat pads on mine which probably add 1/2 so that my be why I didn't notice a difference.
Mine are the double-skin seats. (click on my sig and there are pics there).
The pads just stick on with velcro so you can have any pads made that you like; those are not any Reverie pads that I've see, but looking at just the shells, they look like Reverie seats.

Yeah... I've yet to find anybody who can tell me for sure if there is a way to mod the rails to drop the seat some or bring it back more... perhaps Chococar might know from his forays with his "big person seat" -- Joe, if you're reading.... what problems (indicated by Shinoo) have you encountered in the production of a big person seat.??
If the reverie truly does drop by 1" it's about 60-75% of the way there for me (otherwise my knees just barely touch the steering wheel, making it hard to steer 1.5-2" would be perfect!
Anybody with any ideas?
Anybody modded the pedals to decrease the travel so my knees won't be as high?
