Scuff Guard Part Number

Interior Exterior

Q:
I need the part number for the scuff guards that larry, doma and other members on this board have installed.
BMC has a car that I want and while I was talking to them on the phone I asked if I could have those installed either before I picked it up or immidently after. One of the salesguys had no idea what I was talking about and kept telling me that I was talking about star sheild no matter how many times I explained it to him. I think the other one might have a better idea.
Also I asked if they could adjust the brake pedal too and check if the headlights were aimed properly and they said that they couldn't deviate from the factory settings because of liability. I told them that the pedal adjust was a lotus service bulletin and the guy that seemed to know what the bumper guards were said that he would see what he could do but the other just said no.
I was thinking of maybe just waiting and letting SVAG do it when i get my 1k service done there. When I talked to Graham there he seemed much more knowledgeable and had alot more enthusasim for the car. If only SVAG had a car configed the way i wanted.
Or maybe the service department at BMC will be more recepitive to my requests then the sales people?
What do you guys suggest?
(Sorry for deviating from the orginal topic. It just sorta came out. If you would like me to spilt this into two different threads just let me now or feel free to do it yourself mods).

give Ron in the service department a call. He seems genuinely appreciative of the Elise. He should know more than the sales staff

Agreed - talk to the service people, not the salesman, about these things. It's great that Graham is knowledgeable of this stuff, but I would expect that your average EliseTalk reader knows more about the car (and especially the little problems/bugs) than your average salesperson who has to deal with selling other makes of cars as well.
