Center console removel instructions needed

Interior Exterior

Q:
I am going to have minor surgery on my right foot that is going to keep me from driving the Elise for at least a month. Thought I would take that time to do a couple of things like install a new exhaust and paint the console. Does anyone have step by step instructions on how to remove and replace the center console? It doesn't look too difficult, but I don't like suprises. Would appreciate any help.

A:
Do a search on painting the console. Stan posted a step by step run that I followed last December. It's pretty straightforward.

Here it is:
Post # 30. Have fun and thank Stan.

I did a search and could not seem to find it. Thanks for you help and thank you Stan for a very detailed procedure. bow:
Now can anyone tell me how to change out the stock exhaust to QS?

Thanks so much for the links to the info I needed. I love this forum with all the knowledge and helpfulness. As soon as my parts show up and I am able to limp out the the car I am going to get started.

And if you uncover things we all could learn from, please post them. I recently used a post on installing the Schroth harnesses. Of course I put one side of the passenger seat lap belt in upside down, so now I have to try to get those stripped out seat bolts out again. This time I'll replace those with standard bolt heads, but the back to the point-the forum is an awesome source of info!

The instructions will be a huge help to you, let me add that the most important thing when doing these mods is: patience - take your time, don't rush and don't be surprised if it takes you a bit longer than it seems like it should. Just when it seems like nothing's working, suddenly it will.
