Which BRG code is this....

Interior Exterior

Q:
Hello, all. I am a new guy around here. I do not have an Elise, but absolutely love most of the colors available on them. My question is this, what is your guess to the below BRG paint code? I attempted to search and saw there were various older versions of the BRG. I did not know if they are all relatively the same or quite different. I very much enjoy this darker, non-metallic green than the version on the '05 models. Perhaps one of you could point me in the right direction to find out this sort of info. Thanks in advance.
Dave

I love BRG too. Unfortunately, Lotus failed to offer the color on their logo. Instead we got a metallic green that isn't bad but isn't close to BRG.
If you look up paint codes under 1989 or 1990 Miata you will see a BRG they used for their commemorative addition. It is beautiful and a perfect replica of BRG. I used it on a Jeep I restored a while back and it came out great.
Take a look.

Non-metallic BRG will be available for 2006

I feel a BRG vs. RG discussion coming up.... Nah. The people who care know better, the people who thing Jaguar Green is the only proper color don't care to have their ignorance interrupted.

I am a big fan of my Lotus Racing Green Elise. I think that the depth of the metallic paint is breathtaking. That being said, I would love to see Lotus Racing Green and British Racing Green side by side for a true comparison.

To answer the original question: That *is* a 2005 US Elise in the metallic British Racing Green. That is one of the HRM specials that Mark Starr did at HRM.
