Storage ideas for sunglasses?

Interior Exterior

Q:
Has anyone come up with a good solution for storing sunglasses in the Elise? I have yet to find a secure holder for sunglasses that doesn't allow them to slide around or get ejected onto the floor at inopportune moments.
Thanks,
John

I keep two microfiber towels in the tray and when I put my sunglasses there they never slide or come out.
BTW bought two 16 packs of yellow microfiber towels at costco's for under $10 each pack of 16, around 2 months ago.

Sunglass hut These work great just clip to sun visor

I have that non-slid matting in the bottom of the alum tray and most things stay put.
The other idea that would work is the side pocket made from netting that was available from the UK site.

I keep mine in an eyeglass case which I stick in the "cup-holder" between the seats.

Sun visor?!?!?!?
A:
Sun visor?!?!?!?
Yeah .........you know....those were the first things you took OFF after you got your car.

Sun visor?!?!?!?
Yep, my sun visors stayed on the car for about one day, so I would have to find another attachment point.
Randy, The door sill pockets look promising: http://www.grouplotus.com/car/cars_a..._acc.php?cid=1 There's no reference to size on the website. Have you seen one of these in person?

How about this?

I use the sunglass clip, but I clip it to the aluminum ledge of the slot just to the right of the steering column. It's high enough that your leg shouldn't bump it, and the clip holds fairly securely to the aluminum ledge. It works very well.

How about just wearing them?
I know, I know

sunglass case which fits perfectly in the small shelf between the steerong column and the light switches.

Threadjack!
What about registration/insurance papers?
My current idea is to glue or tape a plastic pouch to the back of the driver's seat. Is there room for some kind of storage device under one of the seats?

I use a hard clamshell case for my sunglasses. It friction-fit wedges perfectly into the tiny cubby between the steering column and the temp/fan/where-air switches.
I lined my alloy shelf and the two pockets in front of the the frame rails (black plastic) with that Radio Shack no-slip padding made for cell phones. Coins, pens etc stay put instead of sliding out. BTW if coins slide out of the pockets at the front of each frame rail, they slide onto the rail and then into the door crevice..and then they leave...so don't keep any rare coins in there!

That's a good question. I kept mine in my owner's manual on the shelf behind the seats. Then the car got caught in a torrential downpoor and it was all destroyed. On the other hand, I don't feel comfortable keeping it in the trunk. I don't want to have to put a police officer through that hassle if/when I'm pulled over in the Elise again.

I do the same, its a perfect fit. The net holds a microfiber towel and the front aluminum area holds the water bottle.

Ditto.
And now, here's the sheep:
A:
Sharper Image makes a case that sticks to the windshield with a suction cup. I have had a couple of them for at least 5 years in my other vehicles and they are still holding on.
A:
I keep my registration papers in a plastic sleeve in the cargo netting. No Touring package? good luck.

I have no problem storing papers. They all seem to collect under the passenger seat.
Stan, I'll check Radio Shack for some non-slip padding. Thanks!
