Q:
After going to a Driver Education at the track, my car had tire rubber all over the starshield. What is the best way to remove it?
A:
Goof-off takes it right off. I'd followup by cleaning the spots with soapy water to remove the Goof-off residue, and then rewaxing those areas--I assume the Goof-off removes the waxes along with the tire splatter.

I have used this on my old cars to get rid of rubber marks, and it works like magic, but have never tried it on starshield, but i am sure it would work, it is a wax but it takes it off amazingly well.
A:
Plexus is made especially for plastic and since the Starshield is
plastic I decided to try it when other products I had didn't budge
the stuff. It works great and leaves a sheen on the plastic film.
P.S. - It also is great for aluminum. I have used it on vinyl but
find that Mother's Back to Black takes out scuff marks on the
sills much better than the Plexus. You have to apply it liberally,
and spend a bit of time working it into the vinyl but once you
do, it really makes the sills look 'scuff free'.
A:
Any decent cleaner wax will both remove the black rubber marks and wax the area, whether on the paint or the starshield.
A:
3m adhesive remover works wonders, both on starshield and paint as well.

409 took the rubber off mine......no problem.

after hitting a TIRE on the road, this stuff got most of the rubber off the starsheild. there are a couple spots where it is seemingly unremovable. i will look for a couple of the other products here to try to get the last bits cleaned up.
btw it also caused a little bit of a zit-like raised area on the front bumper area. hope it does not result in a hole. i think there is a bit of a spiderweb cracking in the paint at the initial impact point beneath the starsheild
