The last time you said soon was two months ago. See ya in April.

Shiftlock,
The tilt up rear clam for better engine and drive train access does exist. My car has the prototype hinged rear clam. The clam can be tilted up or lifted off. I will post pictures soon.
We are completing the installation of the WILKINS-HYPERSPORT 300 turbo on my car this week and will be track testing at VIR next weekend. 295 + horsepower at the wheels on the first pull on the dyno.

Cool! Please do post pics soon - lots of them. Who is going to be selling the tilt-up clam kit? Any idea on price? Sounds amazing. I have a million questions, but I'll save them until after the pics are posted, since seeing it in the tilted up and down position will probably answer most of them.

Prototype WILKINS-HYPERSPORT tilt-up rear clam with billet hinges, four SS pins hold clam down, clam held open by balanced hydraulic struts. Tilting clam gives excellent access to engine and drive train. When clam is in place, rear deck lid is held down by lightweight SS pin.

Wow! More pictures please. Now I'll start with the questions:
- Are these going to be sold commercially?
- Price?
- Additional weight?
- Any visible exterior changes besides the hold-down pins?
- Installation ease? What needs to be changed/modified?
- Overall impression?

Now that's a modification that I need! Great if you have a bad back and need to get closer to your work. Keep us posted.

Yes, they will be available
Price, I don't know yet
Weight, four hood pins, two aluminum hinges, lightweight struts- not much, but will weigh
Pins are not visible from the outside
Installation, requires some skill
Overall impression, the tilt-up system is an excellent solution for my car which I use exclusively for the track. I'll let you know more after I have tracked the car a few times
