Lots of little mods...

Interior Exterior

Q:
I had been thinking about it but your remote mount inspired me to perform a similar mod today while I had the interior out (sorting out my amplifier/stealthbox installation). I did not mount it in exactly the same place due to some structural support for the dash, but as a result did not have to modify the remote at all. I also got the remote power/volume with an additional speaker and mounted it in the cubby so I have total remote control of all detector functions:

I like how you mounted the box under the rollbar - did you use velcro?

Thanks, it is not centered but is not obstructed by the driver or the rearview mirror and it does not block the rear view in the mirror.
Yes, Velcro with a spacer (also Velcro) to accomodate the 1/8" difference between the body and the cover.

Very nice! I'm guessing you did this work yourself. If a shop did it in the Atlanta area, I sure would love to have mine done the same way...
Thanks, I did the work myself but it was fairly easy to do, maybe an hour or two since the interior was already out for running wire front to back.
I have created a new thread for this in the Electronics forum to minimize the thread jacking here (sorry Kaz):
