The Ultimate Car Wash

Q:
While we're on the subject -
Anyone know an easy way to remove wax that gathers on the ridge between the starshield and the paint?
I am not sure when I waxed my car myself I got wax in those groves and on all the plastic "fins" and I could get it off to save my life. I now have someone detailing it for me and he use's some kind of chemical and it all came off , he told me what it was but I can't rember I'll have to ask him again.
A:
It was funny when he said he spent however much on 5 litres of cleaning product. The prices he quoted were pretty average, just high because of the amount of product he was talking about. Probably worked out to $10 a bottle.
What he was doing is what I do when I can be bothered - which nowadays is never. A detail like the one was doing would be about $100-200 in the US by someone average.
As for the 5k detailing- maybe he licks the car all over with his tongue.
