Anyway I got a quote from the Toyota dealership autobody at $480 that covers the removal of the starshield on that panel and repair/paint the damage. They can't replicate the starshield material apparantly but said the Porsche dealer might be able to.

Just order the said panel from the dealer. You wont be able to put it on for some time anyway, so at your next service just have them install it.

Sorry Sally about your car. I'm telling KP! In the past I've used Automotive Collision Tech (ACT), just south of the freeway, off Broadway and they have always done a good job for a reasonable cost. Truth is, my wife just crunched my car two days ago (weird, huh?) and I went there yesterday for an estimate. Try them out.

Don't tell KP. He will kill me! I'm afraid to drive it to work tomorrow because word gets around Micron fast. He would know I ruined his baby for sure .
Anyway, how did the quite from ACT go? I called them and they said they would look at it but didn't seem very confident over the phone. Told him you sent me so make sure you get some referral goodies out of it!

That image is awesome. Yes, thats me. Actually its an old inside joke and turns out is the only name I can remember. I used to be a part of many online forums until I gave up the internet several years ago.
Sorry to hear about your car. Its a strange coincidence for sure! I will head in for a quote on Monday from ACT. He tried to ask how much Toyota quoted me but I woudn't tell him until after he gives me my quote. Might give you a better idea who is more expensive.
