Splitter from UK Installed

Interior Exterior

Q:
Just got back from the UK, where I picked up 2 splitters from Eliseparts.com.
I had ordered them on their web site and went by their office/depot to pick them up. Staff was very helpful and Ian was packing them in a nice, BIG box for me when I arrived.
I repacked them in a cutdown box with lots of bubble wrap and checked them in as luggage on the flight home. No problems with airline or customs. Everything arrived intact.
I installed the splitter yesterday. Simple to do, took about 2 hours, although I took a lot of time looking at new, exposed areas of the car, so I guess you could do it in 1 and 1/2 hours tops.
All needed hardware was included, all stainless steel. Had to drill 7 holes in the underside of the clam, but that was only "surgery" necessary. Fit is excellent, conforms to the curves on the clam nicely.
I left mine shiny black as delivered, but I know you can paint it the body color, or matte it out in black if you prefer.
Here are some pics.

Looks great Wayne!
... should have packed a few more in there to sell to other E-talkers when you got back

Looks very nice. I think I would have to vote for body color myself but the pics show it off well.
I do realize that it takes a bit of speed and that around town won't make much difference etc. but I was just wondering what is the net effect on aerodynamics w/ just a splitter?

Hi Greg,
Actually, the second one I got IS for a fellow EliseTalker, raggedy1, AKA Andy. We hooked up on a thread about splitters and I offered to pick one up for him too.
I go to Europe quite a bit, so I can always grab stuff to bring back.

Not for nothing, but that doesn't look like a good color match.

It's the glare from the sun. I have other pictures without the glare and it's a 99.99% match, can't tell from the human eye.

In shape and contour this looks virtually identical to the FF splitter.
How much???

Yes, the shape and contour does look identical to FF's version, but I haven't actually seen theirs.
The ones I got were $322 each. Mine are all fiberglass, FF has both a fiberglass-only model, as well as a half carbon version.
